Privacy Policy
RK Seamless Gutters Inc. (“RK,” “we,” “us”) is a New York corporation. This policy describes what information we collect when you visit rkcorp.com or contact us about exterior trade work, how we use it, and how to ask us to delete it.
1. What we collect
- Contact form data: name, email address, phone number (if provided), project type, and the message you send via the contact form on this site.
- Photos, video and plans you upload: any files you attach to the contact form, and any file-sharing link you give us. We keep them with your inquiry so we can prepare an estimate, and share them only with the RK staff working on it. We do not download from a link you share until a person on our team opens it.
- Estimate and project data: property address, project scope notes, measurements, and any files you share with us during a quoting or active project engagement.
- Operational logs: IP address, user-agent, and timestamp of each request, kept for security debugging and rate-limit enforcement.
- Anonymous device and scroll measurement: screen and window size, the phone’s safe-area insets, orientation, how far down a page you scroll, and whether the on-screen keyboard or our corner buttons covered anything. It carries no name, typed text, address or IP, and is used only to fix how the site works on phones and tablets.
2. How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry and prepare an accurate project estimate.
- To schedule and complete the contracted work.
- To invoice you and meet our bookkeeping and tax obligations.
- To keep the site online and free of abuse (rate-limiting, security alerting).
- We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with third-party advertisers, data brokers, or AI training vendors.
3. Where it lives
Contact and project data is stored in a self-hosted SQLite database on hardware controlled by RK Seamless Gutters Inc. in Long Island, New York. We do not host customer data on third-party SaaS platforms apart from:
- Resend — for sending transactional email notifications.
- Cloudflare — for DNS, TLS, and DDoS mitigation in front of this site.
Encryption in transit uses TLS 1.2+ on every connection.
4. How long we keep it
- Contact form submissions: 24 months, then purged.
- Project and invoice records: 7 years (NY tax record retention).
- Operational logs: 90 days.
5. Your rights
Whether or not you are a New York or EU resident, you may at any time:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you (a copy emailed within 30 days).
- Ask us to correct anything that’s wrong.
- Ask us to delete your data, subject to record-retention obligations for invoiced work (we are legally required to keep tax records for 7 years even after deletion requests).
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply from a verified @rkcorp.com address within 30 days.
6. Cookies
This site does not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. No persistent cookies are set by default. If you submit the contact form, no session is stored in your browser. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track you across sites.
7. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, email us and we’ll delete it.
8. Security incident notice (NY SHIELD Act)
If we ever discover a breach affecting the personal information of a New York resident, we will notify the affected person and the New York State Attorney General as required by N.Y. Gen. Bus. Law § 899-aa.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. For material changes, we will notify anyone with a current project engagement.
